   I tried on many pairs of platform wedge shoes and these seem to be the best I’ve tried. There is a little weight to them compared to my foam wedge shoes, but they are balanced enough so that you don’t feel like you are walking with bricks on your feet. There isn’t really any padding, but they feel fine.

   The reason I wanted a pair of platforms was because my existing wedge shoes always made my feet hurt at the end of the day after long walks on vacation due to it not having a large enough platform. So I was basically standing tiptoe or on the balls of my feet for the whole day.

   However, I found out that it will also feel weird and look too bulky with too much of a platform, especially walking up and down the stairs. So I had to find a pair with just the right amount of platform and these fit the bill. I wish they made a pair with more of an elegant look because I want to pair it with nice skirts and dresses. Not sure if this sporty look would go well with those outfits as it is more of a casual look.

   With that said, I haven’t worn them out and about, just around the house. So my current review is only based on this initial experience.

   I have several Eileen Fisher shoes that are super comfortable, so I always thought the price was worth it. But these are not on the same caliber. They are too clunky and heavy. I tried them on and could tell right away I will not like especially for the price. I am sending back.
