Pretty, minimal clog. The Red Cedar is a rust, chestnut color, not red (to my eye); Rue has a lot of grey in it and I suspect it could be a useful neutral. I wear a 39 and in many EF shoes a 9, but these are a skosh long and felt a little too roomy (wide). Maybe I’ll try the 8.5, but not in the Red Cedar. I’ve only tried them on, no walking so take this with a grain of salt but I’m not sure how comfy these will be … convenient to slip on, sure.

I have yet to be let down by this brand. I find these clogs to be very comfortable and bonus points for being “actual clogs” versus faux clogs. Some of the negative reviews were about the red color not being very red; fortunately for me the red appeared as “rust color” in the web listing and the color irl matches the photos.
